A great alternative to Quicken 2015 for Mac
I had to quickly find a replacemnt for Quicken 2015 for Mac after it crashed 13 times in the first 4 days I owned it. Moneydance has everything Quicken used to have before Intuit decided the needs of the users didn’t match their desire to change the software. I am still very much a novice and since I had to jump in with both feet without reading the instructional materials, I’m sure there is much I still have to learn. But I can keep up with my day to day banking and keep my accounts accurate. The only issue I have run across is that unfortunately, my financial institution (Chase) only creates .qif files for Quicken. When I tried to use that .qif file in Moneydance, it created a bit of a problem with additional entries that didn’t belong. So now I just manually input my data, after checking with my bank for cleared transactions.
