ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY as it is now!!!
New update still lacks ability to synch between iMac and MacBook Pro. If the developers don’t want to use iCloud they should at least come up with some way that you can have current data synched between Macs. The IOS version is okay and meant to supplement the OSX, but apparently only ONE (1) OSX machine. So someone taking their laptop on the road and then expecting the data to be current on their desktop is just out of luck!! This lack of capability really limits the usefulness of this app.
My questions are:
1. Why not iCloud instead of Dropbox?
2. Why can’t it be a simple fix to allow synching for all my devices? Every other app I have can do it!
3. If you can do this as the app stands then why not have instructions SOMEWHERE that explain how to do it? There are no instructions in the manual or on line.

Old review below.
Cannot synch between Mac Computers. The way it is set up you cannot use this app to synch between computers. It only works between ONE Mac and iOS devices. They say it will synch but the dialogue that opens when you open it for the first time on your second Mac does not allow you to “find” the file in Dropbox (which is required). I have contacted support about this and was simply “blown off”. They either need to fix this or explicitly state that you CANNOT synch between Macs!!!
As jokes go on the app store MoneyDance has to be at the top of the list!
You can’t synch between computers just iOS devices so anyone with a laptop and a desktop is just out of luck. The people that designed this forgot to explain that their accounts are hidden in DropBox and you cannot open the file because you cannot find it so you can synch. When you first start MoneyDance the choices are totally limited to new, import, update, etc. But try to find a file opened on your laptop and synch it with your desktop you are headed to hours of frustration!
If you only want to use this app on one device and not synch then you will be treated to a very unfriendly and ugly GUI. For the most part the app is unintuitive and slow. Bells and whistles that are impractical and difficult to use abound at every turn. But, try to set up a Checking account and a Savings account and use the registers, again you will have hours of frustration facing you.
These folks should be forced to use their own software and try to understand how a lay-person feels figuring out the nuances of their labrynth of confusing operations.
I didn’t believe that the 39 one star reviews could possibly be accurate or fair. Trust me, they are spot on with the one star rating. Now add this one to the others.
